Jade pebbles
Jade, a kind of noble mineral, is divided into nephrite and jadeite. Nephrite is a kind of hydrous calcium and magnesium silicate. Hardness is 6.5, good toughness, translucent to opaque, fibrous crystalline aggregate. Jadeite is sodium aluminum silicate. Hardness is 6.5-7, transparent to opaque, granule to fibrous aggregate, dense lump. The two kinds of jade have similar appearance. The proportion of jadeite (3.25-3.4) is bigger than that of nephrite (2.9-3.1).

Translucent to opaque, hardness: 6.5-7, proportion: 2.55-2.91, refraction index: 1.539. Agate is one of the gem minerals which are used the earliest by humans. Agate origins are widely distributed in China, various kinds, mainly in Heilongjiang, Liaoning, Hubei and other areas.
