Dolomite:
The chemical composition of dolomite is CaMg[CO3]2. It is a kind of carbonate mineral belonging to trigonal system. The crystal structure of dolomite is similar to structure of calcite. Crystalline from is rhombohedron. Crystalline face often bends into saddle shape. Polysynthetic twin is common and it is often in lump and granule aggregate. Pure dolomite is white; when contains other elements and impurities, it appears sage green, grey yellow, pink and other colors. Vitreous luster. Three groups of rhomb have perfect cleavage. Dolomite is brittle. Moh¡¯s hardness is 3.5-4. Density is 2.86g/cm 3 ¡« 3.20g/cm 3. Refractive index is 1.505 ¡« 1.743. The reaction of the mineral powder in cold dilute hydrochloric acid is slow.
Chemical composition: MgO: 20.62%, SiO2:2.05%, CaO:29-32%
Fe2O3:0.17-0.39%, Al2O3:0.16-0.27%
Dolomite is mainly used in refractory material, solvent, rubber, paper-making, pharmacy, building, agriculture, glass, chemical industry, metallurgy, plastics, ceramics, fertilizer, dope, oil paint, building material, environmental protection, energy saving and other industries.
The granularity is from 10 mesh to 2500 mesh.
